founded in Hawaii in 1972 as a board shaping and manufacturing
company, will re-launch with its debut collection scheduled for Fall
2009 featuring a men’s and women’s apparel line inspired by surf and
skateboarding culture.
“We believe that some soul of the product within the industry has been
lost. We plan to unite the quality of product originally made ‘by
surfers for surfers’ to society’s fashion sensibility to restore the
essence of the product and evoke passion in consumers,” says Jonathan

foundation on which the company was founded, we stand for something
more powerful than just the sport of surfing – Lightning Bolt really
is a pure source of inspiration and a way of life.”
Lightning Bolt’s stylish line features high-quality fabrics,
fashion-forward colors, original graphics, beautiful stitching and
dynamic detailing. The collection’s designs were inspired by soul
surfing and its riders’ pure and passionate lifestyles. The company
prides itself on manufacturing premium goods in the optimal geographic
location for that particular garment style.
Beginning June 2009, Lightning Bolt will be distributed at select
high-end and core retailers. Lightning Bolt’s collection offers a
range of high-quality graphic tees, wovens, walk shorts, board shorts,
denim and other accessories ranging in price from $31 to $250.
Lighting Bolt’s U.S. satellite office is located in Los Angeles,
Calif. and the company remains committed to staying true to its roots
with the mentality that surfing is a way of life.
