SURF MUSIC - Check out new band Festizio

Recorded in the famous Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco that produced artists from Green Day to Tupac to Joe Satriani, Festizio’s self-titled album definitely demonstrates a variety of genres and emotions that permeate throughout, ranging from a party vibe (“Get Up”) to struggling with a drug addiction (“Meth”) tied in with the ever so ominous love feel in “Beautiful” and “One More Time”.  Starting off with a mix of great bass riffs/solos and catchy and effects driven guitars in addition with front man Keane Li’s melodic vocals provides a great mix of emotions.  Slower songs like “Hot Blooded Bitch” brings reminiscent memories from bands like Bay Area natives Third Eye Blind as well as vocal influences from Muse on the first track “Alive”.  Rounding off with a piano-like ballad sounding like Coldplay  “Every Now and Again” and a final surprising twist of acoustic guitar and orchestra background with their last track “One More Time”.   The overall feel of the album includes a mix of melody, tempo, and sound as well as lyrical content definitely sets Festizio apart.

Festizio is currently working on their second EP working with Indie rocker John Vanderslice who runs and owns Tiny Telephone, a legendary San Francisco studio.    “Our sound is a bit different - less guitar-based rock and more ambience from the inclusion of keyboard and synth. Our sound and songs have matured, and people seem to really resonate with our new style at our shows. We just really want to capture that,” Keane says.  Well, we look forward to it.
