When did you start modeling?
I started modeling a little over a year ago when I did a photo shoot for a friend of mine. The pictures came out better than I expected and so I posted them on a modeling site on the web and started to get work from them and build my portfolio.

Were you nervous about your first shoot?
No not really because the photographer friend I was working with didn’t really know what he was doing and I didn’t really know what I was doing so we didn’t have any crazy expectations of ourselves but were just having fun!

What are some companies have you modeled for? Pro Hum 7, Maxim, Deliciously Evil Clothing, Sun Diego Clothing, Neroli Lingere, Hustler Clothing, Posh Boutique, Corona, Garage Equipment Supply Inc, Asombroso Tequila, Fit Models International Magazine, BQE magazine, and Surfshot magazine!!

What do you like better? Shooting for print or doing runway?
I definitely like shooting for print work better. With runway it is always fun, but you’re constantly running around like a chicken with your head cut off back stage in order to get into your next change and I never get as many pictures as I’d like to remember the event. When you’re shooting for a print job, you have time to interact more with the photographer and work the camera. This gives you the chance to evoke different emotions in order to accomplish the specific desired look for the product you are shooting for and on top of that you get a killer picture out of it too!

Strangest thing a photographer asked you to do on a photo shoot?
I had a photographer once ask me to pretend like I was dying of heat for the photo shoot. He didn’t want me to be super sexy or sensual about it but he wanted to capture the actual feeling of wanting to crawl out of your own skin because you’re so hot. He actually turned up the heater in his studio WAY up so that we both were sweating bullets….it was kinda fun actually after I got into it!

Worst modeling job ever?
By FAR the worst modeling job I ever had was this one shoot where the photographer took the whole crew out to this really remote mountain location and asked me to shoot in a manner I was not comfortable with and had made VERY clear I was not comfortable with from the beginning. While there were many other people there and I was in no real danger, it was just an extremely uncomfortable situation that there was no escape from! It totally sucked.

What is the worst job in general you can think of having?
Oh my God I’ve HAD the worst job EVER!! A monkey could have done my job…honestly. When I was in high school I was a stock girl for a vitamin health store. All I did was “face product” all day which is just fancy way of saying that I turned vitamin bottles on the shelf so that the label faced the customer……dear Lord kill me if I EVER have to suffer through that monotony again!

What is your favorite girls clothing company? Hmmm….I really like Guess clothing. Both of my favorite jeans are Guess. In fact, one of my pairs is nearly falling apart because I wear them so darn much! It’s a little overpriced for me when I go shopping and hardly ever buy it because of that but I still love their clothes!

What’s your favorite piece of lingerie?
For sure this sexy little blue and green matching bra and panties set I have! I showed up to a shoot one time and the photographer failed to tell me it was a beach shoot and I was not prepared with a bathing suit. I didn’t want to call it quits for the whole shoot so I just suggested we shoot in the lingerie I had on and so we ended up shooting it on the beach and the shots turned out so great!! Everyone loves the pics and says the “suit” looks great on me lol!

Do you think there is a lot of competition in the modeling field now?
YES. Holy cow, there are so many gorgeous young ladies out there. There’s a lot of fierce competition, but there’s also a lot of work out there so you just have to be aggressive in pursuing it if it’s really what you want to do.

When girls tell you they want to get into modeling, what advice do you have for them?
I just always say that you should NEVER change who you are to be successful. I was told that I would never get anywhere if I didn’t dye my hair brown and I’ve had plenty success as a blonde. I’ve also been told several times that I am not skinny enough, but I actually have less body fat than most models. No matter how gorgeous you are you may not fit what a client is looking for on a particular day. I’ve been beaten out on jobs by girls who I thought were not as pretty as me and on the flip side, I’ve beaten out other girls on jobs who I thought deserved it over me. There are going to be a million people out there who don’t like your look and a million people out there who do. You can’t compare yourself to others. The sooner you realize that, the easier it will be to enjoy modeling for what it really is…a unique outlet for you to express yourself to an audience through the lens of the camera.

What music are you listening to now?
A DJ mix demo CD that a friend of mine gave me. He DJ’s on the side and wants me to tell him what I think of it.

What new band can you see going or playing as long as the Rolling Stones have?
Wow, I have no idea…seems like no band can stay together these days.

Dorkiest thing you have ever done?
Oh please….where do I begin? Probably when I pretended to be a conjoined twin with a friend of mine in high school. We looked absolutely nothing alike (I’m a Caucasian blonde and she’s Vietnamese). We actually sewed up clothing and walked through a local mall and had another friend of ours video taping people’s reactions….dorky!

Worst Breakup?
The worst break up is the one that you don’t learn from.

Napolean Dynamite, Charlie Sheen, or Frodo “the Hobbit”? Who gets the date?
Definitely Frodo…he’s sweet and considerate. He wouldn’t be a total doofus like Napoleon or egotistical like Charlie. I mean the all the body hair would suck but we could get him some Dr. 90210 help for sure. You can’t perform plastic surgery on a person’s personality.

Funniest Breakup?
I went out with this guy for about 3 days and he had the WORST breath ever. It smelled like he ate a poop sandwich for breakfast every day! When I was breaking up with him he was like, “don’t do this I love you!” and I responded, “We’ve only been together for three freakin’ days! You don’t even know me!” hahaha!

What is your advice to guys who want to be with you? Be genuine. Be brave. Be honest. Be sweet and considerate. Be understanding. Be respectful. Be funny and stupid. Be intelligent. Be accountable. Be driven. Be passionate. Be a gentleman. But most of all, BE yourself.

Most outrageous thing you have ever done to get a date?
When I was in high school I was really intimidating to most guys because I was a big tomboy and was on the boys wrestling team. I had to ask my date to the prom because he was too scared to ask me so I made a stupid videotape asking him to the prom and had it broadcast over all the televisions in the whole school! Thank GOD he said yes! hahaha!

What was one of your sexiest moments?
I have no idea…it’s funny I don’t think of myself as “sexy” per say, ummm my sexiest moment (to me) was when I gave my honors thesis presentation to an audience of 500…a brain, now that’s sexy damnit!

European, Latin, or All-American guys?
Hmmm…I have to admit that a foreign accent never hurts with the sexy factor, but it really doesn’t matter. If he connects with me I don’t care what origin he is lol!

What’s the biggest mistake, guys consistently make when talking with gorgeous girls?
They try too hard. I SWEAR just be yourself!! Don’t try to be Mr. Rico Suave it just makes you look like a jackass. Any girl with a head on her shoulders will see right through the bull crap.

What do you sleep in?
As little as possibleJ Its summer and you have a 3-day weekend. Do you stay in town and go to the beach, take a trip to Mexico, go to the river, or head up to wine country? I am going to Vegas baby!!!! I love dancin’ it up all night at the clubs and then lounging by the pool all day for recovery, lolJ

Its Friday night do you go out to diner with friends locally, Nightclub Downtown, or stay home and drink? Definitely going out! Downtown nightclubs or a more intimate lounge, either way whenever you’re with good company it doesn’t really matter where you are.

What is your best personality trait?
I am a very rational person and can look at life objectively. I don’t think that there are many people who can honestly do that.

What do guys say your best trait is?
I’m super laid back and am not high maintenance. I just like to hang out and have a good time, and can be “one of the boys” any time while still looking like a damn hot chick

Eww…..lol, no way. I’m personally a fan of tighty whities haha!

Have you ever surfed before?
Yes, only about three times but I got up each time and had a blast!

What do you think of our ocean? Clean or too dirty to swim in?
Too freakin’ COLD!! I am a wimp when it comes to cold water I will be the first to admit. I just can’t enjoy it unless it’s crazy hot outside.
