Surfing Photos of La Jolla on October 23rd 2009 by Surf Photographer John Cocozza
Finally a morning with no wind and great bright sunny skies.
All the regulars of this reef break were out and charging.
Ryan Bracker, DuPonts, Joe Roper, Henry Hunt, Peter Lochtefeld, and JP.
If you are any of the surfers in the pics or know of anyone in the photo session, feel free to contact me about digital images.

He is riding a type of kneeboard called a Spoon. The surfer is Jeff McCallum a local shaper and big wave rider. He shapes all types of different boards. Spoons, Guns, Semi-Guns, Single Fins, Fiberglass Bodyboards, TwinFins and Longboards. But then he also rides all those different types of boards out at Big Rock and Blacks Beach to test new shapes and designs.. I shot a photo of Jeff dropping in on a 20 foot plus wave at Blacks in 2005. That is how we met.
