Surf San Diego - Mission Beach - 12/13/06

Picture this...

Just imagine waking up, knowing there is a great swell in the water, booking it down to your local spot only to find 3 other guys in the water.  Who by the way, surf this spot with you on a regular basis.  Although today, there is a 4-7 foot swell with clean gorgeous blue lines, a light offshore Santa Ana wind, and warm December air.

YUP YOU SCORED BIG!!!!

For local vetran Mission Beach surfers, Andre Desjardin & JP DeCraver, this was one of those mornings.  They scored this wave for a full 2 hours with only 2 other guys in the water. 

I know what your thinking...  "NO WAY IN SAN DIEGO.  4 GUYS FOR THIS GREAT OF SURF"

My answer, "HELL YEAH."

Eventually the word got out, people drove by, and cell phones were blowing up.  Pretty soon, ripers like Dean Randazzo & Corey Garcia were tearing up some of the 4-5 wave sets. 

For the first 2 hours though, it was all Andre, JP, and friends.  An epic surf trip right in their backyard break.
