Surf School
Surfari offers year round surf lessons in San Diego, CA and Ormond Beach, FL.  We teach children and adults of all ages, the art and sport of surfing using safety minded techniques that are proven to work.  Surfari instructors have backgrounds as ocean lifeguards, schoolteachers, and experienced surfers who are always friendly and patient.  They are qualified surf instructors who will make you feel relaxed, safe and comfortable in the ocean.

Surf Shop
Surfari is not an ordinary surf shop. We do offer new and used surfboards along with wetsuits and surf accessories.  What make our stores different are the imported items like Brazilian bikinis jewelry and surf fashions that are from our store in Brazil. The atmosphere in our store promotes the aloha feeling. The walls are framed in bamboo and our tiki hut is a trademark in all our stores. We also have a nice selection of surf art prints and paintings by legendary surf artists Drew Brophy, and Rich Mill.

History
Surfari Surf School was started in May of 2000 by a twelve year veteran lifeguard, elementary teacher and surfer named Rick Gehris.   With the help of his partner and Brazilian wife Paola, they have developed their business into a year round operation in San Diego, CA and Ormond Beach, FL.  They also run a part-time surf school in South America.  During the months of January and February they open their store in southern Brazil and offer guided surf trips to the area.
