International Humanity Foundation
IHF works around the world to help those people who do not generally receive assistance from charitable organizations. They reach and assist people who are so frequently excluded from more common aid programs due to their remote geographic location, or due to unsafe political conditions such as civil war.
They reach the poorest of the poor, and work to empower them by creating long lasting programs such as orphanages, schools, and famine feed program that are overseen by people who live in these regions. They hope you will help support IHF, as they strive to create a world that works for everyone.
The agency serves abandoned and orphaned kids in Indonesia, Thailand and Kenya, and director Carole Sasaki has been working with the poor in that part of the world for nearly 30 years. The organization is in a desperate financial situation right now - after the devastating natural disasters of the past two years, they only have about 6 weeks of money left, and after that children will be forced to return to the street because IHF's orphanages and schools won't be able to care for them. We are asking to the surf community for help, because the part of the world IHF works in is obviously invaluable to surfers for the amazing waves and culture it offers.
IHF is a non-profit organization, completely dependent upon community support through volunteers and donations. To make a tax-deductible donation please visit the DONATION PAGE or contact them by phone, mail, or in person.
