Rock Star, World Champion, & Filmmakers Continue Giving to Life-Saving Effort!

Another amazing example of a company and it's people giving where they can and making a difference comes to us from Brushfire Records. A thoughtful gesture; a simple action creating a huge impact.

The filmmakers of Brushfire Records release "The September Sessions", Jack Johnson, Emmett Malloy and Kelly Slater have quietly donated proceeds from sales of "The September Sessions" DVD over the course of a year to benefit SurfAid International and its work in the Mentawai Islands of Indonesia. Brushfire's total contribution from film proceeds is over $118,000.

"As we approach the six year anniversary of our fight against preventable and treatable diseases the commitment by Jack, Emmett and Kelly is a testament their compassion and their desire to make a difference" - SurfAid International

This donation will help benefit and drive SurfAid's programs; helping to curb the needless suffering brought on by very preventable diseases and natural disasters.

"The need is great…we can stop very preventable diseases from stealing children's lives" - Kelly Slater, seven-time world champion professional surfer.
