SurfShot.com Website Content Internship
SurfShot is working on a new version of its leading Website and we are planning new content areas for our site. We are looking for interns to help, learn and have fun on this project. This is a great opportunity to learn about new web technologies, work with fun content and join our team for a 3-month non-paid internship. Depending on the performance of the new content areas, we plan on turning this internship position into a part time paid position.
SKILLS & INTERESTS
- Must be passionate about Surfing
- Have to enjoy browsing the internet
- Experience researching Websites and working with CMS – Content Management Systems a big plus
- Basic knowledge of HTML and Photoshop
- Great writing skills (English degree is a plus),
TASK
- Review and insert previous SurfShot Magazine issues content into the new SurfShot.com database using our Content Management Systems
- Research local businesses, including Surf Shops, Shapers, Bars, Clubs, etc
- Research International Surf Destinations Websites, Surf Camps, etc
- Rate thousands of surf photos and articles
- Categorize / Tag thousands of surf photos and articles based on pre-determined parameters
- Interact with SurfShot Editorial and Web Development Teams
AVAILABILITY
These internship positions are open now. It is required that the candidate be available for at least 15 hours per week over the course of the 3-month project. The schedule is flexible and part of the tasks can be executed from home.
