SB Surfboards’ New Oceanside Showroom Opens December 1st

The 1,500 square foot SB Surfboards Showroom, located at 1830 South Coast Highway in Oceanside (Google map), is slated to open December 1st.  To mark the occasion, the shop is offering a 10% discount on both its grand opening inventory of more than 100 boards and on all custom boards ordered before Christmas. We’re prepared for holiday surfboard shoppers and serious surfers looking to round out their quivers for the winter season,” Boysen said. 

In keeping with its theme of being a “core” surfboard showroom, SB will supplement its massive surfboard inventory with a limited supply of “SB branded” essentials, such as traction, leashes, wax, hoodies, tee shirts and hats.   

“The last thing we want is to compete with the mega surf shops for apparel and wetsuit sales,” Boysen added.  “Our vision is to work closely with local artists, photographers and craftsmen to showcase limited-edition screen-printed apparel, photography, and other custom works of art. I also build custom electric guitars, so from time to time, I’ll have a couple of those on display.”  

Visitors to the new SB Surfboards Showroom will be welcomed by a modern industrial design motif — polished concrete floors and counters, open wood beams, plus a floor-to-ceiling glass wall that will offer a “dust-free” view into the shop’s shaping room. “Our friends and customers can watch their boards being shaped. Or they can sip a cool beverage or cup of fresh-brewed coffee and watch live contest web casts or surfing videos on the shop’s two 42-inch flat screen TVs.”  

The new SB Surfboards Showroom will be open Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Hours are subject to change if the surf is going off.
