SurfShot Media and Planet X Successfully Premiere SurfShot TV Pilot

SAN DIEGO—September 2008.

SurfShot Media successfully launched SurfShot TV on Planet X, Channel 16 this Monday, after months of searching within the local surf community for leads on key surfers, respected surf veterans, breakthrough bands and swimwear models.

Earlier this month, hundreds of guests attending the SurfShot Media Post-ASR Party in downtown San Diego were treated to a special premiere screening of the new SurfShot TV Pilot.

The pilot, created in conjunction with the Planet X pros, dished out over 30 minutes of killer surf footage, on-location interviews with surfing greats, and behind-the-scenes swimwear photo shoot footage. Hometown staples Carbine, Splitfinger and Justin James threw down a fluid musical backdrop for all the surf lifestyle eye candy.

“Our aim was to take classic SurfShot elements, including the state’s top photography and videography, breakout bands, and spotlights on some of surfing’s greatest names, and blend them to make an unbeatable show,” said John Cocozza, the show’s producer.

“Judging by the positive feedback from the select guests who were invited to view the premiere, we’ve done just that.”

Publisher Felipe Poli is stoked to add SurfShot TV to the SurfShot Media stable of high-quality, grassroots and industry coverage outlets.
