FCS team rider Angelo Lozano claimed a victory in front of his home crowd at the PXM International Vans Pro in pumping 6-8 foot surf in Puerto Escondido on Sunday November 16th.

Lozano rode his reliable PC-3 fins in the contest. The Inside Foil featured in the PC-3’s gave Lozano the advantage needed to make it in and out of the barrels of Puerto Escondido.

By no means was Lozano faced with light conditions or competitors. In the final he beat out fellow FCS teammate Gabriel Villaran who took 2nd place, California’s Ryan Turner who posted a perfect 10 in an earlier round, and last year’s champion and Puerto Escondido local David Rutherford.

“I’m very proud, and I’m very proud of all the local surfers,” Lozano said. “We have a lot of good tube-riders here, and if we can get some more events, I think we can see a lot more Mexican surfers on the WQS.”

FCS would like to extend a huge congratulations to all the surfers who participated in the event. We look forward to working more with Angelo and helping him fine tune his equipment.
