Action Sports Industry Joins Forces With Dept of Ed To Support OC Kids Water Contest
 
Invitation to the Water Innovation Now (W.I.N.) Press Conference 
 
Please join us on September 23rd for a press conference to launch the W.I.N. Contest by the Orange County Department of Education.  This is an important event with industry leaders from action sports, education, business, non-profit, environmental, and media uniting to support the launch of this inaugural program.

Time: 3:30pm to 5:30pm
Location: Ocean Institute, 24200 Dana Point Harbor Dr. Dana Point, CA
 
Attendees will include: OCDE Superintendent - Bill Habermehl, UCI Urban Water Research Director - Bill Cooper , Action Sports Environmental Coalition, Wyland Foundation, Ocean Institute,  action sports celebrities (to be named) and more…
 
The W.I.N. 2008 contest will reach over 500,000 k-12 grade students and 27,000 teachers in Orange County.  Students will create innovative solutions to promote water conservation and increase awareness of California’s current water crisis.  Winners of the W.I.N. contest will showcase their projects to UCI-UNESCO international delegates on December 3rd  at Ocean Institute.
