The Swamis Surfing Association Club challange. Dedicated to the memory of our beloved Syrus King, a longboard ripper like nobody else. The day started cloudy (big surprise), but no fog!
There was a great turnout of clubs from up and down the coast. I won't mention them all so I won't leave anybody out, smart huh? There were longboard rippers of all ages and sex, the girls are tearing it up these days.
I started shooting about 9am to a small but showing NNW swell that would improve with the incoming tide. Eventually there was actually surf in the 3-5 ft. range with the water about 63 degrees. To my surprise the wind actually went offshore and the clouds began to break up, it must of been Syrus's doing. Anyway big fun was had by one and all with mucho aloha all around. Cya around,
Lance Smith
