WindanSea Surf Club Annual Menehune/Junior Surf Contest

WindanSea Surf Club announces it's "40-somethingish" Annual Menehune/Junior Surf Contest to be held at La Jolla Shores, CA on October 1, and October 2, 2005.
The Menehune Contest has been a WindanSea Surf Club tradition since the early 1960's. The 1967 contest brochure included a roster of 44 participants. The 2005 roster will include 300 + participants between the ages of 2 and 16 years old. This contest has grown to be the Premier Menehune event on the mainland and has treated many future surfing legends to great surf and prizes for many years. Over the past three years, the WindanSea Surf Club has sponsered a team of surfers from Hawaii to participate in the contest and spread the spirit of ALOHA across the sea.
