Hansen's Marching Surfboard Brigade

Well, we came up with this crazy idea last year and somehow pulled it off for the 2001 Encinitas Holiday Parade and to our surprise won second place and voted "most unusual" out of 100+ parade entries. This year we are kicking it up a notch by adding more marchers, more drums, a horn section, and will be marching for Surfrider. We will also be utilizing San Diego based Kintera technology for our fundraising efforts so you will all get your own personal web page to use for fundraising. Hansen's Surf Shop in Encinitas is the sponsor and will hook up the participants with great sweatshirts and Surfrider will provide hats.

We have 20 slots open for marchers, 4 horn and 4 drum positions open. Marchers and musicians will be signed up on a first come basis. To participate, you must also be willing to put some effort into fundraising (which will be easy and fun with Kintera) AND be able to make all of the dates below.
