Spot information
Rating: 4Bottom: Rock reef running into beach break
Wave: Left and right; on the right swell direction, produces long, workable lefts
Locals: Bark is way worse than their bite
Swells: W, SW, and NW (250 to 255 degree reading off the Torrey Pines Outer Buoy)
Skill Level: All
A fun wave. The left coming off the reef handles all sizes well. On the right tide the wave links up to the inside featuring a full compliment of wave types – barrels, open faces, and air sections. More often than not, the wave is crowded, not because of the wave quality but because of convenience and the range of skill levels the wave can accommodate. Be prepared to be back paddled and get into more than your fair share of paddle battles.
