Verdict Is In For The Agenda Tradeshow in Huntington Beach
THE VERDICT IS IN, AND IT’S GOOD….REALLY GOOD!
The Agenda Trade Show in Huntington Beach Proves to Be a Major Success All Around
July
30, 2009 (Huntington Beach, CA) – The Agenda Trade Show made giant
waves in Huntington Beach last week - in the industry that is - with
its most successful show to date. The independent, action sports and
streetwear clothing trade show took up residence at the Hyatt Regency
Hotel last Wednesday and Thursday (July 22nd and 23rd), bringing out
roughly 3,500 attendees and featuring a solid list of top industry
brands and retailers, all there to do business. For returning brands as
well as newcomers, the show was an unbelievable success.
“The draw was really good. We have East Coast accounts here from 17th
Street, Ron Jon, Hotline, to some great West Coast shops,” Volcom’s
Vice President of Sales Tom Ruiz said to TransWorld Business. “The
timing was perfect with the launch of Spring ‘10, and location during
the contest has been awesome. So all around the show got an A. It was
awesome, we’re super stoked.”
“The Agenda show has been a huge success for LRG. The timing,
atmosphere, and foot traffic couldn't have been better. We will
anxiously await the next show,” said Bryan Wilson, LRG National Sales
Director.
Agenda featured a wider range of brands than it has in past shows -
from skate to surf to streetwear, providing exhibitors and buyers with
a broader platform in which to do business. The brand new location
offered clean rows of ready-made booths for each exhibitor, great food
and a picturesque backdrop of the ocean with the US Open of Surfing
taking place just down the street. With help from Jansport, Amp Energy
and Lovemade, Agenda kept the party going Wednesday night with a packed
crowd of tastemakers, pro athletes and industry execs rocking out to
80’s hair metal with a live performance by Steel Panther.
“This was by far the best Agenda show we’ve done yet,” says Aaron
Levant, President of Agenda. “Based on the overwhelming response we’ve
received from both exhibitors and retailers, we feel the timing and
location of the show was the perfect move for Agenda. Wait to see what
we’re about to do next - it’s only getting better from here.”
A big thanks to key sponsors: Jansport, Complex Media and Amp Energy.
Next steps for Agenda will soon be announced, so stay tuned and get
excited.
