Sean Mattison

Sean has recently come out of the closet. He’s a self-proclaimed surfboard junkie and it doesn’t look like he’ll stop using anytime soon.  His passion encompasses both surfing and the craftsmanship that goes into creating a surfboard. He started surfing in 1974 and has seen first hand how surfing has evolved over the years. “The surfboard is one of the most important pieces of equipment that we have and it may be the most emotional piece as well. I don’t ever here anyone saying, ‘Dude, my wetsuit worked so well today.’ When asked to provide the commentary on a piece on riding fish, I knew it wasn’t going to be an easy task. If you don’t understand something, well, we can talk in the lineup.”
