Mando Diao paints a variety of vivid pictures with their latest album, Ode to Ochrasy.  The Swedish quintet graced San Diego with their presence this past May at the The Casbah. There aren’t any tricks to their trade. It’s basic rock ‘n’ roll with a psychedelic twist that begs to be listened to.  This album could’ve been made 20 years ago and I never would’ve known.  Bjorn Dixgard, the band’s soft spoken lead singer, sings with tenacity and passion as though he’s telling a story that needs to be heard by the masses.  This is an album you can listen to from beginning to end without having to jump around.  There’s a song on there for every mood from manic to Monday morning blues.
