Absolute Mexico

Absolute Mexico is a Josh Pomer film that recounts what many have claimed to be the best contest in the history of the WCT. The famed “La Jolla” serves up some of the most incredible waves ever witnessed and the WCT once again had perfect timing for one of their contests.

Surfing Quality-5 out of 5- If you thought the contest footage was impressive, prepare to be amazed by the freesurfing performances that the best surfers in the world put together.

Style-3 out of 5- The video loses some of its appeal because many of the best waves in Absolute Mexico have been shown in other videos and online. There is not much that stylistically stands apart from other videos except for some of the behind the scenes interviews.

Waves-5 out of 5- The entire video is full of waves that surfers live their lives hoping to catch. They somehow got “La Jolla” as good or better than the wave has ever been, and there is also footage of some giant Puerto Escondido.

Music-3.5 out of 5- There is a little bit of everything in the video. There are a lot of simple but clean beats that don’t detract from the action on the screen.
