Dedicated to preserving the heritage of the Garifuna people, a Caribbean culture threatened by globalization, Belizean singer/songwriter Andy Palacio & the Garifuna Collective released the album Wátina. Vibrant and positive, the title track is sung in the native Garifuna language and features traditional West African rhythms.
