How To Be Happy, Dammit: A Cynic’s Guide to Spiritual Happiness
Summer got you down? Not enough of that Southern-Hemi juice making its way to your local break? No need to fear. Karen Salmansohn’s How to Be Happy, Dammit will allow you to cure those summertime blues. The book isn’t one of those burdensome texts that will have you rereading line after line in order to figure out what’s being said. The pages are full of large font and pictures appropriate to the feeling of the text. It is like no book that I have read before in that it only takes about 30 minutes to read and its construction is like that of an adult-themed children’s book. There are clever revelations throughout the book that remind the reader that even if all else is failing in his life, people are always equipped with the tools to feel better. So as this next flat spell settles in, don’t freak out, pick up this book and be happy, dammit.
