Could three brothers ever be on the Fosters World Tour at the same time? Yes. And the trio who could do so? The Gudauskases. While Patrick and Dane are becoming seasoned WQS travelers, building seeds and gaining global reputations, their younger brother Tanner is not far behind. He’s sharpening his teeth, waiting for the chance to prove himself. With high school behind him, the intelligent and super talented goofy footer is embarking on a late season attack to boost next year’s seed. Give him a couple years to sort out tour life and three World Tour spots may be taken by surfers who’ve been naked in the bathtub together (assuming the rest haven’t… I hoped).

Birth date: 07/04/07

Height: 6’0”

Weight: 170 lbs.

Stance: Goofy

Board: 6’1”
Al Merrick
Hometown: San Clemente

School: I just graduated from San Clemente High School and took a year off
to surf and have fun. I probably will go back to school sometime in the
near future at Saddleback Junior College, but I am enjoying what I got goin’ right now, that’s for sure.
Local Spot: Lowers
Local Crew:
I'll surf or hang with anybody. There are tons of sick guys in town who rip!

Influences: Definitely my brothers because I’m surfing with them everyday. Then guys who are the same age as me who are surfing sick. Guys like Jordy Smith, Matt Wilko, Julian Wilson, Clay Marzo, Mason Ho, Tonino
Benson, Eric Geiselman, Dusty Payne... There are so many and they’re all killing it.
Results: I am still searching for the big one.
Goals: I’ve been doing a couple of WQS events lately and having a blast, learning
a ton. But in the future, I’ll probably keep doing that and try to get on some
trips where the waves are perfect. That would be mental.
Sponsors: O’Neill, Vans, Channel Islands, Astrodeck, Jacks
