"Be Green With Your Green"
Before you purchase any surf product, do a little research to find an earth-friendly alternative. Many surf companies are starting to offer organic cotton t-shirts, eco-wax, and even wetsuits and surfboards that are less damaging to the planet. Don't forget to ask your local surf shop to carry these products.
 
"Clean Car, Clean Ocean"
Don't wash your own car at home. When you wash your car at home the soap, oil, and metal particles that wash off go down into the storm drain and storm drains eventually dump out into the ocean. Take your car to a carwash where they are required by law to self contain all runoff.
 
"Three To The Beach"
Millions of pounds of trash wash up and are littered on California's beaches every year. Make it a habit to pick up at least three pieces of trash every time you go surfing. After all, it's your beach.
