Heralded as one of the preeminent surf photographers in the world, this month Aaron not only provided some classic imagery for our IB feature, but he also provided some valuable commentary for the feature about growing up in the anarchic but eclectic border town in the early 70’s. “IB is OK. That this was the city's slogan says much about Imperial Beach,” Chang said. “It is a small California beach town that is economically challenged. It's true gold is in the water where, on those special days, life abounds with riches for those who partake.”
