Adam Virs

You haven’t seen a guy froth until you’ve seen Adam Virs behind in a heat, get a nug, post a 7.5 and then jam back out for another. He doesn’t get lost in la-la land thinking about what a sick one he just had. No. He puts his face down, winds up those arms, motors on out the back and firmly puts himself in the inside position. Virs was a man possessed. And though he was a spring box of snappy surfing throughout the event, he had to settle with a semi-final finish. That loss in a competition he so visibly wanted to win coupled with the Macy’s California Trifecta win, has Virs fired up for an ’08 charge. Look out competitors, a little motivation can go a long way with an in form Adam Virs. One thing is clear, Virs is certainly one to keep an eye on in the coming months and opening events of the ‘QS season.
